To get started, let's talk about Indonesia: it's a country which had the richest source of natural resources and culture, along with a defining variety traits of their culinary. Most of their traditional food can be found on the streets of its cities, including its capital city, Jakarta.
Jakarta's street culinary have existed since a long time ago, back when the city was called Batavia. It was also recognized as a trading center, where immigrants came to start their own business and of course, brought each of their distinctive cuisine from their birthplace. From street food vendors, carts and kiosk, we recognize its traditional culinary from each of their areas.
With the modern progression of our society, it has become a trend for our generation to gather around at malls and western-influenced restaurants and cafes. Soon, our traditional culinary became a second choice for eatery.
Through this blog, I have tried to prioritize Indonesian street culinary that are considered to be delicious with distinctive tastes as well as reasonable prices for all of you to enjoy. In addition to that, we're going to learn all about their background stories on its business and owners.
